The Secret Twin – A Story in Chapters
Hello everyone. I am writing my own Harry Potter fanfic about Belladona LeStrange, the secret twin of Bellatrix LeStrange. Belladona is a character I made up and I think her life would make a really good story. I’ll release this story in chapters as write them. I hope you enjoy it.
Chains
Slavery. We all know what it is, but most of us might not understand the horrible events that occured during it. Well, like you I knew about slavery, but I didn’t really think about it that much. This book opened my eyes to the true horrors of slavery and the struggles of being a slave. Chains is about a slave girl called Isabel who has been sold to a cruel couple called the Locktons. The first time Isabel tried to escape was when Madam Lockton sold her sister Ruth, but was found out and had to pay the price. She tried many other times after that, sometimes working with her friend Curzon to create a plan. I really enjoyed this book and hope you will to. I think it would intrigue readers who are passionate about equality like I am and want to learn more about things like slavery.
Inside Out and Back Again
This book is about a refugee girl from Saigon who must learn to cope with her new life in Alabama. Há has lost everything; her father, her papaya tree, her country. I immediatly felt sorry for her and wanted to help her. Inside Out and Back Again shows people who have not experienced war the pain and suffering it brings. It inspires people to make a change and help refugees. Most war books always end with something good happening, but not this one. In reality things do not always turn out well, and sometimes things don’t go to plan. That is what Inside Out and Back Again shows us, and that touch of reality is what I like about it. I recomend this book to people who are interested in books that open their minds to the problems in the world and make them want to make a difference. If you want something inspiring, than this is the book for you.
Cogheart
I read Cogheart a while ago, during the start of the first lockdown and thought it was fantastic. It’s about a girl called Lily who’s father makes many amazing mechanical animals and people, one of which is Malkin the mechanical fox who is Lily’s greatest companion. One day Lily’s father goes on a journey, but never returns. He was presumed dead, but Lily wouldn’t believe it, so she set off to find him and has a marvelous adventure. Cogheart is a very good book and will entrance the reader the moment they open it with its funny characters and interesting plot. When I read this book it really hooked me and made me feel excited to find out what happens next. I recommend this book to people who want something adventures and fun.
The Hermitage
The Hermitage is not a book or even something you can read. It’s just the name of my new house I’m going to move in to on Monday. I’m really excited to have my own room where my younger siblings can’t annoy me and I can evade my older sister duties. We will have a really big garden which is super useful, especially in the summer. My parents decided to move there because they wanted to live close to a school called Riddlesdown which is where they want me and my siblings to go after primary school, but also still able to go to New Valley, our curent school. My room is looking really great. I have birds on my ceiling and two of my walls have been painted blue. Although I’m excited I am going to miss this house. I knew we couldn’t stay there forever since we were renting, but I really don’t want to leave. There are so many things I am going to miss about this house like the huge apple tree in the garden and our secret hideout I’m still looking forward to moving though.

The Snow Spider Trilogy
Sometimes you know you are going to love a book even before you read it. That’s exactly what happened when I picked up The Snow Spider Trilogy. One look at the front cover and I knew I had to read it. There are three books all packed into a four hundred and eighty page book. The Snow Spider, Emlyn’s Moon and The Chestnut Soldier. It’s about a boy called Gwyn Griffiths who gets four gifts for his ninth birthday. A brooch, a piece of seaweed, an old broken horse and a scarf that once belonged to his sister who had disappeared on the mountain four years before. These were given to him by his grandmother who told him to cast them into the wind. When he casts the brooch of the side of the mountain the wind sends something back. Arianwen the snow spider. This tale got me hooked right away and I followed Gwyn through all three adventures. I would recomend this book to people who like fantasy stories because that’s exactly what this book is.
